WHAT IS THE PRIDE PAGES?
Celebrating our eighteenth anniversary, The Pride Pages is a business directory for the St. Louis area lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community. Our goal is to be an excellent resource for locating LGBT-friendly businesses and organizations, as the community makes purchasing decisions throughout the year. At the same time, we serve as a medium for local and national companies to reach out to this demographic. LGBT consumers tend to search for, utilize and become very loyal to businesses that are LGBT owned, operated or gay-friendly. Advertisers find this type of publication to be an effective, efficient and cost-effective way to reach this demographic.

PAYMENT POLICY
All advertisers MUST pay in full at the time of order.  All orders must be paid in full before Monday, April 30, 2012.

Cancellations: No cancellations will be accepted after April 30, 2012.  All cancellations must be submitted in writing.  There will be a $25 charge for any cancellation.  Cover and Premium Positions are non-cancelable.

We highly recommend signing up online.  Using our online sign-up to place your ad order is the most convenient and efficient way to submit everything we need from you.  However, if you choose to mail in your order please submit your order form, check, and email your design all at the same time.  This ensures your order is complete and that we can add you to this years edition.  Please note that if we receive parts of your order and weeks go by without completing your order, we will return what you have submitted.  We ask that you submit everything at the same time so that we can keep your order organized.  Ads MUST be resubmitted every year to ensure we have your current and most up to date ad.  We no longer keep ads on file for following years.  If you have any questions please call (800) 758-2803 or email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Agency Commissions:  All Rates are NET—Pride Pages does not pay commissions to advertising agencies.

1.  The forwarding of an order is construed as an acceptance of all the rates, policies and conditions.

2.  Verbal agreements are not recognized.

3.  Advertisements are accepted for publication entirely upon the representation that the agency and/or advertiser are authorized to publish the contents thereof.  In consideration of the publication of such advertising, the advertiser and/or agency will take full responsibility and save the publisher from and against any judgments, costs or disbursements incurred by reasons of suits for libel, or any other suits such as violation of rights of privacy, plagiarism, copyright infringement, etc. based upon the content of such advertisements published.

4.  All copy and text illustrations are subject to the publisher’s approval before the execution of the order; and the right is reserved to reject or exclude copy which is unethical, misleading, extravagant, challenging, questionable in character, in bad taste, detrimental to public health or interest, otherwise inappropriate or incompatible with the character of the publication, or that does not meet with the approval of the Federal Trade Commission; whether or not the same has already been accepted and/or published.

5.  Acceptance of advertising for any product or service is subject to investigation of the product or service, and of the claims made for it upon its package, labels and accompanying material, and in the advertisement submitted for publication.

6.  Publisher is not liable for delays in delivery and/or non-delivery in the event of an Act of God, action by any governmental or quasi-governmental entity, fire, flood, riot, explosion, embargo, strikes whether legal or illegal, labor or material shortage, transportation interruption of any kind, work slowdown, or any condition beyond the control of the publisher affecting production or delivery in any manner.

7.  Rates and conditions are subject to change without notice.

8.  A new rate immediately applies to advertisers not previously covered by a formal order specifying ad space to be used.

9.  The publisher reserves the right to limit the size of space to be occupied by an advertisement.

10.  The publisher reserves the right to insert word “advertisement” above or below any copy that, in the publisher’s opinion, resembles editorial matter.

11.  The publisher reserves the right to make an additional charge for advertisements containing difficult composition.

12.  The publisher is not liable for actions taken by any person, group or organization becoming a holder of this publication.

13.  Production charges incurred on behalf of an advertiser or its agency in the preparation of advertising materials will be billed to the advertiser and/or its agency and must be paid in full before specified due date.

14.  Publisher shall have the right to hold the advertiser and/or its advertising agency jointly and separately liable for such monies as are due and payable to publisher for advertising ordered.

15.  Printing materials will NOT be retained.  We will not hold onto your ad or other materials to use for the following years.  You must resubmit any ads or printing materials each year.

16.  We will not make any changes to your previous ad for use in the current edition.  If you would like the Pride Pages to create or edit an ad you have you must pay the designer fee.  To edit your ad you must submit the ad you would like to have changed.

AD REQUIREMENTS
Ad rates are for space only. Advertisers who order display ads, but do not submit display ads will be charged for ad production
or other necessary preparation.

Artwork designed by the PRIDE PAGES for publication in the Pride Pages is the exclusive property of the PRIDE PAGES.

Ads must conform to the following specifications:
FILE FORMAT: EPS, AI, PSD, TIF or PDF. (We will NOT accept Word Documents or Publisher files)
RESOLUTION: 300 pixels per inch.
COLOR FORMAT: CMYK only. All PMS and other colors will be converted to CMYK.
FONTS: All text must be converted to paths or fonts must be included with your ad. They MUST be fonts for use on the Macintosh.
TRANSPARENT ELEMENTS must be flattened for proper reproduction.
SET ALL ADS TO FINAL SIZE.

Ads that fall outside these specifications may need to be returned for revision; please call before submitting.
